Our spiritual feast, St. Crispin’s Day, is nearly upon us. Please join us on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. The event will be, as always, at the State Bar of Georgia. You may register by clicking on the link here. The seminar will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. It will be followed by the Crispin Beer & Wine Social from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The seminar’s stars will be shining bright: Don Samuel, Millie Dunn, and Kyana Givens. And John Ellis, Jr., who will talk about the Effective and Ethical Use of Social Media in Defense Investigations. Mr. Ellis spent 13 years at the Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc., and teaches at the National Forensic College in New York. Social media. Imagine what we learn at home on social media. Imagine what we discover about our family and friends, our politicians, and our entertainers on social media. Imagine too what we might learn on social media at work. What might we discover about witnesses, agents, and more? The mind reels. John will light that social media path for us all.
Registration will cost $140. The fee covers your CLE costs and bountiful food: breakfast, coffee, the Great Crispin BBQ Feast, and the Crispin Cake Break. The fee includes the open bar at the happy hour, plus live music by the inimitable Band of Brothers.
We will also honor many of our fellow defenders: the members of the 2018 Acquittal Club, the recipients of the Jake Waldrop Crispin Stars, and the winner of the 2018 Leeza Cherniak Award of the Sword. Please join us.
