Preview: St. Crispin’s Day CLE 2023

Posted by

We are but a month away from the annual St. Crispin’s Day Celebration CLE. We’ve built two days of presentations on October 24 and 25, 2023, at the State Bar of Georgia. You may register here.

We have lots of new developments in federal criminal law, including Supreme Court opinions, certiorari grants, and guidelines amendments. We will chat about statutory interpretation because, as Justice Kagan once said, we are all textualists now. We’ll play Evidence Jeopardy, spend an hour on professionalism, and cover so much more! Who will be inducted into the Acquittal Club? Who will win the Leeza Cherniak Award of the Sword? And the Jake Waldrop Crispin Stars? Plus, enjoy the Crispin Barbeque Feast, the Crispy Cake Break, and the Crispin Social Hour, too. You’ll find the agenda here.

Honored guests will include Don Samuel, Supreme Court savant; Sam Dennis, cross-examination expert; Ateeyah Hollie, Deputy Director of the Southern Center for Human Rights; and Dr. Sheba Phillips, mental-health expert from Valdosta, Georgia. The usual suspects from Ye Olde Defender Office will be there, too. See you soon!
