Greetings to you tireless defense warriors of the Northern District of Georgia!
Fewer than two weeks remain until the 17th Annual St. Crispin’s Day Celebration CLE, October 27-29, 2021, from 10:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Wednesday and Friday) and 2:30 p.m. (Thursday). Our excitement is building and we hope that yours is, too!
Below are details and links to keep everyone in the know. You will receive Zoom links with your registration confirmation email. If you have already registered, but cannot find the links, please email Angie Felton (Angie_Felton@fd.org).
Agenda: This year’s theme is “Braving the Strange New World.” We have a fabulous three-day agenda planned with fantastic local and national speakers joining us to impart wisdom. You will notice that we have added an extra 30 minutes to Thursday’s agenda. This was necessary in order to get the professionalism credit we know you all yearn for. We will start each day’s session at 10:45 a.m. On Wednesday and Friday, we will end at 2:00 p.m. On Thursday, the session will last until 2:30 p.m. to accommodate the extended Professionalism discussion.
Registration
Registration for the event has been robust. But there is still time to register if you have not already done so. There is no charge to attend, but the bar will charge you $5.00 per credit hour that you wish to claim when CLE reporting time comes around. HERE IS THE REGISTRATION LINK.

Donations to the Jake Waldrop Memorial Intern Fund
We hope you will consider a donation to the Jake Waldrop Memorial Intern Fund administered by Jake’s alma mater, Georgia State University College of Law. Your generosity has already funded several bright young legal scholars in recent years. Thank you so much for your support. It makes us proud to honor Jake in this way. HERE IS THE LINK TO DONATE TO THE JAKE WALDROP MEMORIAL INTERN FUND (directly through the Georgia State portal).
St. Crispin’s Day Awards
Acquittal Club and Jake Waldrop Crispin Star recognitions will be celebrated during the Friday, October 29, session. The deadline to let us know of your great accomplishments and acquittals in time to have them included in the program is this Friday, October 15. (One note: The Acquittal Club honors only federal-court acquittals.) Do not worry, we can send along Crispin Stars and Acquittal Club T Shirts to any late additions. (We just might not have time to include them on the program announcement if we do not receive them in time.) For anyone who did not receive their stars or shirts from last year, we ran out, but we now have plenty, so let us know if we owe you a star or a shirt. There is space on the registration form to submit the award information. Even if you have already registered, you are welcome to return the form to add award information.
We few, we happy few, we cannot wait to see you!
