In honor of Atlanta hosting this summer’s World Cup, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, the Federal Defender Program will kick off our World Cup-themed Spring Seminar at the State Bar of Georgia.

This year we’re bringing the energy of the world’s biggest stage to our training―celebrating the teamwork, strategy, and precision required for a world-class defense. This seminar offers a premier opportunity for FDP and CJA panel attorneys in the Northern District of Georgia to refine their “game plan” and ensure their advocacy remains at the highest competitive level.

Our “starting lineup” of presentations covers the most critical phases of federal practice. Attendees will dive into the strategic nuances of jury charges, master the “ground game” of investigations, and explore the creative depth needed for impactful mitigation.

The seminar will also feature a high-stakes panel with esteemed “referees” (er, judges) from the Northern District of Georgia, providing rare insight into the bench’s perspective.

To close out the day, we’ll move from the lecture hall to the field with a competitive evidence game, designed to test your knowledge of the rules in a fast-paced, interactive environment.

You’ll find the registration link here. The cost of the seminar is $100. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided. We hope to see you soon.
